SUNDAY SIXES TRAINING

Come grow your lacrosse skills at the Brookline Youth Lacrosse Winter Sixes training program, powered by Unit 1 Athletics!  Open to boys and girls in grades 1-12, the weekly program features game concept training using the Sixes lacrosse format, an accessible, fast-paced combination of field and box lacrosse where all players compete on offense and defense.  The Sixes format will be featured at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.  Led by coaches from Unit 1 Athletics, participants will be grouped by age and skill level and new players are welcome.  All programs take place indoors on Sundays at the Brookline High School Tappan Pavilion on the following dates: Sunday 12/7, 12/14, 12/21, 1/11, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8

No programs on 12/28 (Winter Break), 1/4 (Winter Break), 1/18 (MLK Day) or 2/15 (Presidents Weekend).

**For Boys/Girls Grades 1-4 sessions are 55 minutes

**For Boys/Girls Grades 5-12 sessions are 70 minutes

Tentative Schedule (subject to change)

9:30-10:30am: Boys 1/2
10:30-11:30am: Girls 1/2 & Girls 3/4
11:30am-12:45pm: Girls 5-8 & Girls 8-12
12:45-2:00pm: Boys HS
2:00-3:00pm: Boys 3/4
3:00-4:15pm: Boys 5/6

Final schedule confirmed by Thanksgiving.  Programs require a minimum of 10 registrations to operate and are capped at 30 participants.

Players are expected to bring standard lacrosse-specific field equipment.  For boys, this includes a stick, helmet, elbow and shoulder pad, gloves, protective cup and mouthguard.  For girls, this includes a stick, protective goggles, and mouthguard.  There is a small amount of loaner equipment available from on a Brookline Rec first-come/first-served basis, please inquire for details.
